The Danger of Gun Control and Violence in the United States is a real problem!

Some time ago there was a tragic incident on the college campus of Santa Monica Community College and/or Santa Monica Junior College, Santa Monica, California on June 7, 2013 in which a gunman was shooting cars and buses before he headed to the Southern California educational institution and began shooting at several students in the library before Police and local authorities fatally shot him this after he shot both his father and brother at their house while setting it on fire.  There is also the April 19, 2013 incident on the campus of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where the two “Boston Marathon Bombers, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev shot multiple times and killed Campus Police Officer, Sean Collier who was responding to the incident he was only 26 years old. What about the December 14, 2012 shooting tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut where gunman, Adam Lanza shot and killed 27 innocent victims many of them young innocent children until he shot and took his own life.  I can go on giving you more incidents and tragedies that have taken place in the United States but I think you get my point.  The problem is not with guns and/or weapons specifically it is with the people that carry the guns and/or weapons and intend to use it for harm and dangerous acts for whatever unknown reason or unknown message that they want to spread by hurting and killing innocent people to get the negative attention that they feed on.  The way we as a society can help with the danger of Gun control and weapons control in general is to give Law-abiding citizens a gun to help protect and defend themselves and maybe others against a dangerous person or a terrorist that they might be encountering because at this moment the bad people have all the guns and weapons that if used improperly can hurt and kill more innocent victims, we need some good people to carry a gun and/or weapon to stop terrorist and dangerous criminal acts as well as to prevent the unnecessary injury and death of more innocent victims.  I strongly and firmly believe that the United States as a country needs to look at this problem very seriously or tragedies and incidents will just keep continuing.

Apparent discrimination in the clothing many people wear? Grow Up America!

A few days ago, I was reading this news story in a local newspaper and it was a story about a young girl in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who got bullied and ridiculed from her high school Geometry teacher for wearing a pink colored support “Romney-Ryan 2012” campaign t-shirt there was nothing rude, indecent or dirty about it, it was just a regular t-shirt with the “Romney-Ryan 2012” campaign logo on it. The high school instructor yelled and screamed at the young lady to get out of her classroom and change clothing while at the same time making such ridiculous and idiotic remarks like comparing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to the Klu Klux Klan, sorry I do not see any connection or collaboration there. The young lady did not budge or move at all and stood her ground it is her God given right to freedom of expression and no one and I strongly repeat no one has any right to tell you and/or force you to think differently. The father of this sixteen year old high school student is filing a formal protest and both he and his daughter want the high school geometry teacher fired for such immature and bullied behavior, in my point of view I hope that teacher does get fired we do not immature teachers and/or instructors that do not accept the freedom of expression from people in general but especially from young people. We need teacher and instructors that are open-minded and also listen, respect and accept different thoughts and points of view we all do not have to think the same way as well we do not have to look the same way. The high school geometry teacher when confronted by school officials about her immature and sporatic behavior just said “This was just a joke and I meant nothing by it” that is a line that every immature bully uses. My message to the immature high school geometry teacher would be this; grow up and stop pushing and bullying people because of the clothes they wear the joking and bullying are over. I think this should be a universal message leave people alone with the clothes they are wearing if they want to wear Obama-Biden 2012 campaign clothing attire or Romney-Ryan 2012 campaign clothing attire it is their right in this beautiful country of ours to do so and they can wearing their selected clothing attire with my blessing.

My return to college and the Cañada College Multimedia Art and Technology Program

I cannot begin to say how fun and exciting it is to return to Cañada College in Redwood City, California (my Alma Mater – Class of 1990) after a long actually a very long absence. This being my second and/or third time around, I am starting the Multimedia Art and Technology Program to obtain and receive a Certificate of Achievement in Graphic Design. This upcoming Fall 2011 Semester, I have four yes I said it four great college courses including MART 314 – Introduction to Computer Graphics with Mr. Paul Naas, a great instructor with a wonderful sense of humor. MART 368 – Web Design I and MART 376 – Digital Imaging I both classes with Ms. Hyla Lacefield, also a great instructor that knows her subject(s) very well and let’s her thoughts and opinions be known without any hesitation. Finally I also have MART 372 – Digital Illustration with Mr. James Khazar, an instructor who loves computer designs and graphics and index cards with your name on it so he can always remember who you are. This is a great program and career to get into especially at this particular moment with the current economic crisis and most of all especially in this area (San Francisco Bay Area and Silicon Valley) with all the great history and computer and video game companies like Apple, Atari, Google, Yahoo, Electronic Arts (EA), Sega among others. After I obtain and receive my Certificate of Achievement in Graphic Arts, I hope to start my new and long term career as a Computer Graphic Arts Designer. The Multimedia Art and Technology Program is a great program and career to start and get into at anytime especially not only with the great instructors and their strong reputations but also the great Computer Laboratories and Centers they have that allow students to work in which includes a 3D Computer Laboratory where students can create, make, and design video games and web-sites among other great things on the computer. Cañada College is also a great place to continue your education in a variety of different educational and career fields, it is also a great place that helps students transfer to great four-year colleges and universities. For more information about the Multimedia Art and Technology Program at Cañada College call (650) 306-3201 or check out their web-site http://www.canadacollege.edu/multimedia/ to get more information about Cañada College call (650) 306-3100 or go to their web-site at http://www.canadacollege.edu Education is a very important and resourceful tool in life and it should never be taken for granted.

Is President Obama a bully or just a loud mouthed neanderthal

A few days ago, I was on my Facebook account and one of my friends posted a message that said; “I do not appreciate ruling by fear– nothing but a bully! Ooh! makes me so mad! Now I have to pray for him.” I assume that they were talking about United States President, Barack Obama and probably some rule, law, and/or regulation that he wants to pass and is making a big stink about it. I guess I need to clarify some things about politics and the system of government in the United States, we are a Democracy, we started as a Democracy and will continue as a Democracy by the thoughts and wishes of our Founding Fathers and the United States Constitution. President Obama (unlike other past Presidents of the United States) thinks he has the power to dictate new laws and regulations including maybe inputing a new budget with only the sound of his voice and the power of his signature with a pen to make it into law instantly. Fortunately (and I mean that honestly and sincerely) that does not take place it has to go to the other branch of government that we have the Legislative branch which is the United States Congress and the United States Senate, they have to see what the President would like to introduce and make into law that way the branches of the United States Government work together and cooperatively to see if it is best for the people of the United States. This is simple United States Government class, no branch of the United States Government can have more power than the other two maintaining the checks and balances system which so far has worked wonderfully. The President of the United States cannot be a bully or a dictator because he will be stopped at his tracks before his plans, ideas, or actions come into play without it first being looked at and reviewed by the Legislative branch. I understand that a lot of you are very worried at all the disarray that Barack Obama has done as our Commander In Chief, to which I say relax he cannot change our system of government from a Democracy into a dictatorship. We as a great nation have worked to hard to let that happen especially the United States Military and Veterans who some have given their lives to maintain our freedom. In closing I would like to say remember that the President of the United States only serves a four year term and after that he is finished unless we re-elect him again which in this case I am strongly against it and we need a President and a Leader who will continue to maintain our system of government which is made “With the People, By The People, and For the People” and that is how it should always be.

Baseball fans it is only a game! II

The 2011 Baseball season is vastly approaching one month already which is wonderful because it is our National pastime and something that the economic crisis cannot bring down or destroy.  Although, I am really bothered with the Baseball opening day fight(s) and attack(s) that led to the hospitalization of Bryan Stow, a loyal San Francisco Giants fan who was caught in the crossfire and at this present moment is in a Los Angeles hospital fighting for his life.  What really happened before the violence escalated can only be told by two sources, Bryan Stow himself or the mindless assailants that committed this horrible act while at the same time giving Baseball a black mark in society. The reason this incident really bothers me is that young people (children and teenagers) as well as young adults like to imitate what others do be it good or in this case very bad and maybe they might be at a sporting event where they run into a fan of the opposing team and the verbal jabber begins which may lead to physical violence or worse someone having a dangerous weapon and using it leading to people getting hurt ot worse.  This is just a game folks not a life and death situation or serious situation. Baseball as well as other sports are just exactly that sports which are suppose to be fun activities and not to be taken so seriously. One of the issue(s) is that some adults and/or grown-ups are more immature than young people in regards to the love of the game and their team, I for one am a San Francisco Giants fan but I am not going to verbally and/or physically attack someone just because they are fans of another team let us say for example the Los Angeles Dodgers. They have their preference is sports and I have mine and we need to respect each others choices and preferences. I do want to make a comment about Los Angeles Dodgers and their loyal and faithful fans, they are wonderful people that cheer and support their favorite baseball team in a very positive manner until the end, the people that committed this horrible act at Dodger Stadium are not Dodger fans according to the Los Angeles Dodgers organization “they are common thugs and violent criminals that have no place in baseball or sports in general.” Our society is turning into a violent free for all vigilante society, which means if we do not like someone and/or something we just cannot ignore it anymore and leave them and/or it alone, we must try to hurt it or them or even worse. I am sorry folks, I do not agree with that theory at all, I am very old school and I strongly believe “Live and let live” respecting each others thoughts, lifestyles, opinions, values, and ideas whatever they might be.  I hope as you read this, you will try to make this world a better and more peaceful place in everything you do and everyplace you go even in the world of sports. In closing, we all need to grow up in society in regards to sports and the mental behavior of fans that some of them go a little too far this is just a game everybody and only a game nothing else.
